*****

Strong

You are strong
An oak tree in the seasons.
You are graceful.

*****

Lift

Your voice, a prayer
Lifting up my spirits
Like a song, a poem

*****

Fall

Falling like a rock.
Or more like an egg that cracks.
No one there to catch.

*****

Quit

How do you say quit
In seventeen syllables?
You do it like this.

*****

Droplets

These haikus are like
Droplets of pain, crescending
Just before the rain

*****

Yassy
(my daughter)

Your hugs, your kisses:
The light on my darkest nights.
My angel, my joy.

*****

Cache

My heartbeat spawns
A cache of thoughts and words,
A thousand haikus.

*****

Colors

You, a chameleon
Colors change in a heartbeat.
You are confusion.

*****

Nip

Oh, you jealousy
You broken pieces of glass
You nip, you cut me

*****

Thoughts

My words can wait
But all my thoughts, they run
They assasinate

*****

Glad

Single and glad, oh!
It does not always take two
To make a tango

*****

Blade

Look at this haiku:
short but sharp, it cuts like
blades for seppuku

****

Bright

Oh, you are brightness
Your smile and eyes, they shine
You conquer darkness

****

Restore

Yes, restore my faith!
Rebuild my trust in the Lord!
Regain my strength!

****

What

And what are haikus
Compared to a song, I ask?
A poor thing, that’s what.

****

Spring

And the snow falls not.
Just like grass in the winter.
Or love in the fall.

****

Setsunai

I would have hugged you
Wrap my arms to comfort you
But my arms have thorns

****

Vague

Just one more haiku
Aprroximate the vagueness
Of that and all these

****

Target

Soul’s a target mark.
You freed an arrow. Swoosh. Thud.
And the beats went quiet.

****

Loud

Was the silence loud?
Loud enough to shroud the sound,
Of souls screaming?

****

Treason

No rhyme, no reason.
No logic, time nor season.
Love is pure treason.

****

Quickie

Erotic haiku?
I push in and I pull out.
Now that’s a quickie.

****

Quiet

a drop of rain falls.
on a pond. ripples quitely.
beauty no one sees.

****

Change

Weathered rocks breaking
Into million glass pieces.
The sands in the beach.

****

Fall

And leaves fall slower
Than hearts do when love expires
On cold autumn days

****
